Hi Lia!

Paul and I are so glad for getting you as our host on our wedding. No one could have done it better than you. The guests complimented your hosting style being just right and not too over the top and yet managed to keep the audience attention. And of course, the looks! So pretty!

May this be the start of a long friendship! See you soon Lia!

Thank you!

Nino and Vina had a fun, casual wedding party that reflected their kenkoy, makulit persona.

Balikbayans EJ Agravante and Cherry Ann “Taan” Alvarez came home from Chicago to celebrate one of the best nights of their lives with their closest family and friends – their wedding. With a cool, casual atmosphere, One Esplanade was staged to be a night of drinking and dancing from balikbayans and locals alike.

The reception was made especially touching with speeches from the bride and groom’s parents, who with pride, have raised such level headed, independent and kind-hearted children who have now come together as man and wife.

The night was filled with soulful RnB songs, drinks from the mobile bar and dancing from the DJ.

One of the best compliments of the night came from the groom’s mother herself, UP College of Arts and Sciences Dean and Professor of Speech Communication Josefina Agravante. As I was saying my goodbyes after the program, she held me and said “I asked for a good host for my son’s wedding. And we got one!”

Cheers to EJ and Taan! You guys are so perfect for each other!

Various golden moments from different events I've hosted.

Thanks to all my clients who have been gracious to share their photos and the love:)

It was a glamorous, theatric night for Karleme Mendoza’s Lady Gaga-themed 18th birthday celebration.

For her grand entrance, the debutante appeared in a dramatic fuschia gown complete with a long, ruffled train. Loud cheers from her friends and family greeted her as she projected herself as a true fashionista down the grand staircase, while blaring music set the mood for the modern, party atmosphere – just the way the birthday girl wanted.

But make no mistake, this was just one among the many grand entrances Karleme had as she made a fashion spectacle of the night complete with four, fabulous outfit changes.

The celebration was complete with warmth and laughs. Particularly touching was Karleme’s phone patch with her dad who called in from overseas to greet his unica hija a Happy Birthday. Meanwhile, the surprise video specially made by the celebrant’s friends was nostalgic and fun, revealing Karleme’s giving heart and friendship.

Another surprise was a song number by her friends, with of course a Lady Gaga medley, which Karleme gamely joined.

Lia added a splash of color to the uber modern party.

Karleme thanks her guests.Lovely and proud mom, Bambi looks on.

The night continued with some dancing as friends who were decked out to party busted the dance floor with some cool moves.

We may not be able to read Lady Gaga’s poker face. But we could surely read Karleme’s that night – happiness.

Special thanks to Karleme, Tita Bambi Mendoza for sharing these photos.

As debutante Joselle Segismundo celebrated her 18th birthday, friends and family saw how this young lady defines real beauty.

Well-mannered, intelligent and lovely, Joselle truly has everything going for her. And while this is so, the high achiever from De La Salle Lipa remains to have a quiet, unassuming, down to earth disposition that makes everyone grow in deeper admiration for her as witnessed in the kind words and beautiful showing of guests and family from all over the country in her celebration.

She of course, takes after her beautiful family, the Segismundo's, who are among the most gracious people in Lipa. Her parents exude generous support and due pride in their children. Her sisters, Madonna and Angel, are beautiful and talented from their walk, down to playing the piano. Her brother RJ, meanwhile, maintains a gentle, caring nature.

With beauty and brains, a wonderful family and a great future ahead of her, Joselle has nowhere to go but up!

***Thank you to Joselle for the photos. Special thanks to the Segismundo family and Ms. Libby Chua for being a great co-host.

The Manila Grand Opera House was the place to be for friends and family of the Reyes and Ocang clan as Severino and Janice solidified their marriage.

The pink and orange party was a night of nostalgia and wisdom, as distinguished friends and family shared their thoughts on the couple as well as how to make a lasting marriage (i.e. Listen. Love each other. And always know who's boss -- and that's the wife!)

Cheers!

From being an avid fan of Koreanovelas to landing her own Korean prince charming, Erma Bernal found her leading man for life in Jae-Su Yeon.

Adorable couple Nik and Anna Tsifetakis tied the knot with a huge Greek-Filipino Wedding.

The bride was a stunning vision of a goddess, while the groom charmed everyone with his humour all throughout the night.

The couple's speeches were particularly touching. Anna told us what a good man her new husband is, sharing how touched she was that Nik treated her family as his own.

For his part, Nik vowed that this will be his first and last wedding, marking Anna to be the only woman in his life. He ended his speech with two Filipino words addressed to his new wife -- "Mahal Kita" (which he practiced over and over before giving the speech!).

The night was celebrated with feasting, drinking and dancing to an everlasting love of two people from very different parts of the world. This union only proved that the Greeks and Pinoys are no different when it comes to love and celebration!

Cheers!

All the Single Ladies.

Nik gives strict instructions to the host to encourage their guests to get drunk and be merry -- a Greek tradition for weddings.

It was a sizzling tropical celebration as Denise Liao celebrated her Hawaiian debut.

Friends struck their best hawaiian poses as they were greeted by a funky photo wall and were welcomed with leis. The program was off to big bang when Denise and her entourage opened with a fire parade and a refreshing Hawaiian dance specially choreographed for the occasion. But it wasn't just the young ones doing the dancing as titos and titas strut their own moves in an amusing Hawaiian dance contest. The fun continued as Denise's friends were engaged in a competitive round of limbo rock.

Not to be missed were the 18 roses and shots, where a specially concocted cocktail fit for Denise and her tropical themed party was made. The night carried on with dancing with a great playlist, drinks from the mobile bar and more fun and memories for Denise, friends and family.

Many Thanks to Ms. Grace Granatin for the party coordination, the Liao family and of course, the beautiful, Denise.

Okasyon launched its brand new branch in the third level of Robinson's Galleria's fabulous East wing.

True to elegance and fashion, guests were greeted with a mini-wedding and debut expo organized by "Statement Events", the retail brand's events and marketing arm. Installations from dear friends of Okasyon as well as talented designers from the Wedding Designers of the Philippines showcased their work to a full house crowd.

Mega Publishing President Sari Yap shared that she even bought 4 pieces in just a few minutes! TV actress/host/comedienne Ruby Rodriguez brought along her children and niece and was pleasantly surprised to discover how age-appropriate and fresh "Okasyon Kids", the brand's younger line actually is.

For many Filipinos, a chance to go back to the country they were once raised in is a bittersweet homecoming. But for balikbayan couple AJ and Nathan, coming back home to the Philippines was simply one sweet journey to celebrate their love with friends and family.

The nuptials began like a grand production straight out of a modern fairytale with the groom serenading his bride as she descended from the grand staircase. Their eyes never left each other.

The solemn Christian ceremony closed with the couple sealing their vows for each other. As we finished the religious ceremonies, it was my job to shift the guest's moods from one that was formal to a party atmosphere, which represented the couple's fun-loving nature.

Since AJ and Nathan were such a game couple, their wedding was filled with fun and surprises for them and their guests. Some nephews drew some laughs from the crowd and got the moms and titas to their feet in a surprise number of "Dancing Queen". Not to be outdone, the couple had a surpise of their own as they showed off their moves in an evolution of dance number with their lovely daughter, Nathalie. With the dancefloor getting busy, one thing was made very clear -- dancing and a good sense of humor must run in the family!

As AJ and Nathan sweetly completed the traditions of cutting the cake, releasing the butterflies and the toast, the couple gave out the bouquet and garter through some non-traditional games drawing a lot of hoots and excitement from single guests. Not to be left out, a kissing game drew even more action from the married couple-guests. Who knew kissing can be done in a whole level of creativity?

The memorable night ended with guests shouting the Filipino well wishes of "Mabuhay ang Bagong Kasal!" -- something to remind AJ and Nat that while they may be off to a life together in a foreign land, home is always where the heart is.

AJ and Nathan give their thumbs up to their wedding host, Lia.

Special thanks to Ms. DJ Agustin (for hair and make-up inquiries, contact 0917-8539903) and to Lilac in White (for wedding coordination, call Ms. Weng 0927-9866614).

A lush floral-themed wedding in the greens of the La Mesa Eco-park was created for director Aleah Aliporo and master TV editor Mac Eugenio.

As wedding host, I shared the microphone with this generation's favorite comedic duo, Maverick and Ariel.

TV's beloved problematic Mommy, Elvie, also gave her well wishes to the couple, and was quick to point out that the two comediennes were simply clowning around for the affair.

Nonetheless, as hosts, we all complemented each other with quick wit, fresh humor and a dash of romance to celebrate a relationship that began with TV production and now ended as a reality.

Lia hands the mic to the bestman for a toast, as co-host Maverick cracks a joke. The Wedding host with the Aliporo-Eugenio entourage.

Aleah and Mac have their first dance as a couple.
